Actually, I think that title isn't even that hard to get. I'm surprised how few people have it.

I think I will try for Gladiator too, it's the only PvP I get up to I've seen a few Protector's of Tyria running around now, still much rarer than the various cartographers and heros though

All 6 of my charcters have protector. Many people don't because they usually think that after reaching level 20 it does't matter. It really doesn't when you consider it is just 1000 experience. But now it is so funny to see people in towns all over tyria saying "LFG for BONUS ONLY"

You noticed a huge influx of people wanting Bonus' then I normally just do em with henchman... more reliable in many cases. Even on Iron Mines when they weren't infused we ripped the Inquisitor a new one. Although that was playing an interrupt/damage dealing ranger, much easier to keep henchman alive when you do some nice damage and interrupt spells too, first time i've actually used a bow other than Dragos for quite a while

It's not really surprising that a lot of people don't have this. While it's not that hard to get, it does require some patience and maybe some good people to help you. The missions I would imagine is not very hard, it's probably the bonus that gets people.
With the amount of griefing over thunderhead keep mission, which even isn't that hard compared to something like Dunes of despair bonus, you would need a good group of people as some bonus as just not possible with henchies. (I have indeed accomplished all missions with henchies, the hardest being aurora glade)
